When children are in Year 6 (aged approximately 10 years) information about social and behavioural development is collected from the teachers responsible for them. At this time data relating to Special Educational Needs and attendance is also collected. Information concerning cognitive development is collected in the form of Key Stage 2 results and is collected directly from the schools during Year 7. Consent is currently being sought from parents and children to continue following their development until the age of 18 years.
