The CEPD continues to embed an aesthetic learning experience (Uhrmacher, 2009) within an innovative pedagogical and technological blend for the Primary, Post Primary and Post Graduate pathways and across many subjects.  This includes the embedding of multimedia learning (Freeman, 1990; Mayer 2005) within STEM subjects, and also Literacy, Numeracy, and Special Educational Needs (SEN), by providing a blend of ‘situated’ classroom learning (Brown et al 1989; Lave & Wenger, 1991) and enquiry-based lecture provision.

These projects were highlighted in the recent ETI Reports (2008; 2009).  See also the Stranmillis Operation Plan (2009) and Stranmillis Academic Plan 2009-10 for more on this (Intranet only).  Similar template models will be rolled out across the College, in all subjects 2010/11.  Please see reports above for the summative report 2010.
